Our journey didn't start with fabrics and threads—it started with fire, flavor, and a daring culinary vision. Back in 2017, Kuwin was born as a humble pork burger stall in the vibrant streets of Sarawak. We were one of the earliest pioneers in the region to introduce a truly unique creation: burgers packed with succulent 3-layer pork and savory pork intestines. It was bold, authentic, and deeply rooted in local cravings, quickly turning Kuwin Burger Street into an award-winning local favorite.
But our passion for Sarawak didn't stop at the dinner table. As we grew, so did our profound appreciation for the indigenous art forms that surrounded us. We fell deeply in love with the intricate, mesmerizing Iban pattern designs—a true reflection of Borneo's soul. We realized that just as we had elevated local street food, we had a calling to elevate and preserve this beautiful textile heritage.
Today, Kuwin has evolved from serving champion burgers to crafting wearable art. Our mission is to seamlessly weave the rich legacy of Iban patterns into modern, everyday fashion, bringing the heart of Borneo to the eyes of the world. From the grill to the loom, our core remains exactly the same: an unwavering love for Sarawak and infinite gratitude for the community that has walked this incredible 9-year journey with us.
